Urban List: Cheesecake & Cocktails | Maybe Sammy

Urban legend has it that Frank Sinatra never left a show without a slice of cheesecake … and we're not about to argue with Ol' Blue Eyes.  

Fortunately Sydneysiders don't need a flight to Vegas to keep the ritual alive. Maybe Sammy, the Rat Pack-inspired cocktail bar in The Rocks, has a late-night pairing that fits its 1950s Vegas vibes. And it looks like a slice of lemon cheesecake with a Martini or a coffee cocktail.

The dessert comes from Bondi institution Da Orazio, and the bright, zesty lemon is a good match for a cold, dry Martini. Prefer something richer? The coffee cocktail is the way to go, and it works as a sweet treat in its own right.
